Why just go canoeing…
when you can retrace the path of Lewis & Clark?
Why ride bikes…
when you can bike the Oregon Trail?
Why camp anywhere…
when you can camp on a battlefield—or crew a mountain howitzer?
Venturing Crew 1782 is a co-ed, youth-led Living History Venturing Crew for ages 14–20 that turns history into real-world adventure. We don’t sit around talking about the past—we live it.
You plan the expeditions.
You lead the crew.
You choose the challenges.
One month you might be paddling historic waterways, navigating by compass and stars. Another, you’re riding legendary rails, setting period camps, or learning the skills explorers, soldiers, and pioneers actually used.
This isn’t school.
This isn’t a lecture.
This is hands-on adventure with a purpose.
You’ll gain:
If you want comfort, stay home.
If you want stories worth telling, join us.
Venturing Crew 1782 —Don’t learn history. Live it!
